It is very important to know about lab safety and to know what all the lab equipment is and what it does. When you are working in the lab you have to know what you are working with or you will not know what to do in the experiment. You also have to know how to keep yourself safe from chemicals because if you spill a chemical on you, you have to know what to do or it might hurt you really bad. When you are working with a Bunsen burner you have to make sure you know how to protect yourself from a fire.  If you don’t keep yourself safe with all the chemicals, fires, and any other dangerous items you could get yourself killed or injured, so listen to your teacher when she is talking about lab safety and keep yourself safe.
